Spherical Thermochemical

These calculations are from McNamara and Zhong (JGR, 2004) . Thermochemical convection was studied in a 3D spherical geometry in order to study the general characteristics in an Earth-like mantle.

Temperature- and Composition-Dependent Case
In this calculation, the dense material has an intrinsic viscosity increase of 500x. The Buoyancy number is 0.6 and the Rayleigh number = 4.8 x 106. This is case 13 from McNamara and Zhong (JGR, 2004) .
